SAINT PAUL’S YOUTH COVENANT…
As a youth group we are committed to being respectful to all that enters our doors. To show respect we will disconnect from our electronic devices (cell phones, iPads, Nooks, tablets, etc…) so we can connect with each other. We will support one another through encouragement, accountability and love. We recognize to fully commit to this we must be honest with each other and be present in one another’s lives!
During the school year, Saint Paul’s offers two worship experiences on Sunday mornings. Worship Services are at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. Both are in the Sanctuary. During the summer we have one worship service at 9:30 a.m.
Sunday School is at 9:45 a.m. in Room 302
We encourage youth to share freely and to express doubts and questions as well as their beliefs. Our only rule is to show respect for one another. And we ALWAYS have snacks! Lesson topics include studies of what the Bible has to say about specific issues, looking at contemporary issues from a Christian perspective, and just about anything our youth want to discuss! Contact teachers Charlie Guyton, 599-9423, and Meg Guyton, 443-4175 for more information. (during the summer this class meets at 10:45 a.m.)
Every Sunday night from 4:15 – 5:15 p.m. our Youth Choir meets in choir room. No experience is necessary and it is a rocking time to worship and praise God through music! Please contact the wonderful Gaye Herndon at [email protected].
Rooted Sunday Nights
Every Sunday night from 5:15 – 7:00 p.m. join us in the Parlor for fellowship, snack supper, games, and a message of faith. Middle and High small groups are a part of our evening. Bring yourself, bring a friend (or maybe 2), and bring an appetite.
Sept 1 – Labor Day Weekend – NO SUNDAY EVENING YOUTH ACTIVITIES
Sept 8 – Parent Meeting During Rooted. Parents join us for dinner, then meet with Pastor Becky to talk through the calendar for the year, costs, and key deadlines. Plus find out how you can support our youth group throughout the year, and give feedback for how we can support your families.
September 29 – One Service Sunday. Worship will be at 9:30am, followed by a brunch, and there will be no Sunday School in the morning. Youth are helping to set-up before the service, so show up at 8:30am if you are able. We will still have regular Sunday night activities.
Sept 30 – Monday Funday! The public schools have this day off so we are going to make it a special day! In the morning, we are going to volunteer helping in the Mosaic Garden (prepare to get sweaty and dirty), and then we are going to take the bus to Wakulla Springs to cool off! Bring a bag lunch to eat there, and money if you want something from the soda fountain. Register online, and pay $5 to cover gas for the bus and reserve your spot.
