Saint Paul’s UMC is pleased to announce the introduction of an electronic option for making regular offerings. Contributions can now be debited automatically from your checking or savings account or processed using your credit or debit card. Our new electronic giving program offers convenience for you and provides much-needed donation consistency for our congregation. If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes. And, when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, this program will allow your weekly offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis.

Is online giving secure?
Yes, all account information you enter is secure. No one has access to your data unless authorized by you.

 

Are there any hidden charges or fees?
When you give online, there is a fee for each transaction.  You may choose to cover that fee on top of your gift, otherwise it is taken out of the amount you give.  For Credit and Debit cards, we are charged 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, and for ACH transfers, we are charged 1% + $0.25.  We are happy to receive your gifts in whatever form you choose to give them, and the fees are worth the convenience, however it may be worth looking into whether your bank provides automatic bill pay free of charge.  Thank you for considering ways that you can help us to be better stewards of your gifts and make the most of every amount given.

 

What is the contribution schedule?
You can choose how often you would like an automatic donation to be made – one-time, weekly, every two weeks or monthly.

 

Why do I have to set up an account and password?
Setting up an account with a password allows you to enter the secure area of the web site for your transaction. Once your account and password are established, all of your personal information (including account numbers) is safe and protected, and you will have access to your giving records at any time.

Can I designate my gift to a particular department or ministry?
Every dollar given to our General Fund is used to support the overall mission of the church; therefore, gifts cannot be designated or restricted for use by a specific department or ministry. This is true for any kind of donation to the church, not just online giving. However, from time to time we may create special payment options for events which you will be able to process online.  From the drop menu, you may select to contribute toward the general budget of the church, The Florida United Methodist Children’s Home (we do an in-service collection 4 times a year), our Making Room Campaign (the renovation of several areas of the church building), or Parents Morning Out tuition payments.

 

What if I want to change my online giving?
At any time you can log into the system with your account name and password and make changes, or call the church office and we can make those on your behalf.
