Hello SPY gang!
Well, it hasn’t been the best month for fun in the sun…but I’m sure hoping that February will be beautiful beach weather. The middle school retreat will be February 1 and 2 to Panama City! We have 25 spot for any middle school youth to attend. It should be a very exciting trip with small group activities and games, as well as an opportunity to conquer the human maze in the Panama City! Cost for this youth retreat will be $50 and the sign up deadline is Jan. 20th.
I hope that everyone has been enjoying the new Sunday Night SPY format. Remember, that we now meet and end in the Foundation. High school youth will have ‘open Foundation’ while middle school youth will head upstairs to the 200 level for the lesson and activity. We will all meet in Sanders Hall at 5:30 for a large group activity, dinner, and Worship! At 6:30 we will go back down stairs and flip-flop for the lessons. Middle school youth will have ‘open Foundation’, and high school youth will be in the 200 level for a lesson.
As mentioned before at SPY, one of our youth misplaced her ipod (nano) during the lock-in. If anyone knows were it is, or may have picked it up by accident, please let me know. Thank you.
Don’t forget about the things coming up:

Verse of the Week: “I lift my eyes to the hills- where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”-Psalm 121:1-2
(Devotion by Chance York and Peter Marvin) Last Sunday we talked about fixing our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:1-2). Well, while we are looking in that direction, why not remember who Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit; who are…our creator. How amazing is it that our God, who made heaven and earth, will also guide us through every day. God will lead you to the right path, helping you over all the heralds in life. So, just as a runner must focus down the path, you must focus on God’s path. For the Maker of heaven and earth will always guide you to the right path. If you are looking in the right direction, you will not stumble.
In Christ’s love, Peter J. Marvin
