iGo Green! Super Summer Sunday School

Room 302 & 304
Kids who have completed K-5th grades will join together for their lessons in Rooms 302 & 304, with a split during the hour of older and younger ages. This summer, kids will learn the biblical foundation for taking care of creation... going green and what it entails. Fun skits, crafts, science experiments, and discussion, all based on Bible stories, will give the children an awareness of the world God created. The kids will learn that they can make a difference in the world as they make commitments to care for God's creation through obedience, gratitude, respect,and justice. During the summer, our Sunday School Teachers take a well deserved break from their classes, and we rely mainly on parent volunteers to assist during the summer. If you would be willing to help on a Sunday or two with the children, please let me know what days you could be available. Jo Ellen Brown, our Kindergarten teacher, has agreed to lead this Science Sunday School for summer!! We are so thankful to her and her team of helpers, but please volunteer as you are able.

Junior Church
There will be a weekly Junior Church time following the Children's Chat during the 11:00 am worship service. Kids will come to worship with you, and following the chat at the altar, will leave through the side narthex doors for the chapel with an adult leader. In the chapel, we will have our "Junior Church" complete with candle-lighting, songs, Bible stories and prayers. Following our Junior Church in the chapel, the kids will head over to the SPARKS Room 210 where they will be until pick-up following worship or the 11:00 Sunday School session.
Parents who participate in the 9:45 contemporary worship service and attend the 11:00 Surrendered Life Sunday School class during the 11:00 hour may bring their child to the front pew to sit with one of the pew buddies at the beginning of worship, and then pick up your child at the end of class in the SPARKS Room 210.
