SPARKS ~ Saint Paul's Absolutely Rockin' Kids Stuff
SPARKS Wednesdays is a Christian fellowship group for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We meet Wednesday afternoons beginning September 9, 2009 through April 28, 2010. We have fun and enjoy being together as we learn about "Growing Up in God's World."

Our Program
Kids will have a great time playing with friends every Wednesday. Schools will let out at 2:50 this year, and SPARKS will begin at 3:15. Parents carpool to transport children from the schools. If there is a large group of kids coming from one school, a church bus pick-up will be arranged. Snacks will be provided as the kids enjoy free time. At 3:40, we will break into smaller groups for our Bible Chat, SPARKS choir, chimes, SPARKS ART and playground. Pickup is at 5:30.
Bible Chat
Mark 12:30-31 "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength." The second is this, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.’
Our Bible Chats will be the time to focus on our Bible lesson for the week. Rev. Nathan Adams, our new Associate Minister, will join the team this year. Our year of lessons will focus on Growing Up in God's World. Our first 8 week series will be on "Values of a Christian Kid."
Musical Opportunities
Our SPARKS choir, directed by Cindy Stockstill, will provide fun opportunities to prepare us for Sunday Morning Worship services, along with the special Christmas and Spring Musical productions. This year, we are pleased to offer both a 2nd/3rd Grade and 4th/5th Grade CHIMES choir where kids will learn to read music and play in an ensemble.
Our SPARKS Choir and CHIMES, led by Crystal Peebles, will perform periodically in Sunday Morning Worship, as well as other opportunities in our community. Musical Productions and Christmas caroling will be a highlight for all!

SPARKS ART
Our Art projects area will be developed by Peggy Benton and Sabrena Watson and relate to our Bible lesson of the week.
End of the Day
Kids will be signed out by the parent at 5:30. Kids not signed out by 5:35 will be taken into Sanders Hall to wait at a designated table.
Wednesday Dinner
Families are invited to have dinner at our Wonderful Wednesdays with Food and Fellowship WWW.FF, by making reservations by Tuesday at noon. Reservations may be made by calling the church office at 385-5146. Cost for the meals are $5/adult; $2/child through 5th grade, with a family max of $20. Adult Bible/Small Group Classes are offered for adults and youth (6th-12th) beginning at 6:30. Care for children is provided as well.
SPARKSCare
A Homework Room, Quiet Games and Movies will be available from 6:00-8:30pm only for kids whose parents are participating in the evening Adult Bible/Small Group Studies.
