eXtreme eXplorers 6th Annual Week!
Older Kids, rising 3rd through 6th grade, may spend a week on an adventure through our eXtreme eXplorers camp. During the week of June 21-25, 2010, we will load the buses and head to some of our favorite locations for loads of fun. Daily photos will be posted on this website to chronicle our adventures. Registration is limited ... so hurry and reserve your spot. Cost for the week is $175. 8:00 am to 5:30pm. Some of our past days were spent at Jellystone Park, Wakulla Springs, Tubing the Itch, movies, pottery, FSU Marine SeaLab, bowling, skating, kayaking with our Wilderness Way friends, jet-skiing, tubing and skiing at Cherry lake. Extreme Explorers Week Online Registration
PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING:
Release: If my child should become ill or injured at Saint Paul’s UMC, I understand that the facility will (1) call 911 should the problem be deemed an emergency and (2) contact me immediately or designated emergency contact. Should the facility be unable to reach me or the emergency contact person, they are authorized to contact my child’s physician and/or arrange for immediate emergency treatment. I will accept full responsibility for payment of all medical services rendered. I do hereby release, forever discharge and agree to hold harmless Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church and its directors thereof from any liability, claims or demands for personal injury, sickness or death, as well as property damage or expenses, of any nature whatsoever which may be incurred by the undersigned and the participant that occur while said person is participating in the Summer Programs of Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church, including recreation and work activities. The undersigned further hereby agrees to hold harmless and indemnify said church, its directors, employees and agents for any liability sustained by said acts of said participant, including expenses incurred attendant thereto. The undersigned further consents to the administration of first aid and or doctor’s care, or any form of medical treatment necessitated by illness or injury that may require the same. In the event of the necessity of such care or treatment as hereto described, the undersigned agrees to hold harmless and indemnify said church, its directors, employees and agents from any acts of malfeasance, and/or failure to act on the part of those chosen to administer medical care on behalf of the participant.

Older Kids, rising 3rd through 6th grade, are spending a week on the E.D.G.E. - Experiencing and Discovering God Everywhere! During this one week of summer, we will load the buses and head to some of our favorite locations for loads of fun. Daily photos are posted below!
Monday, we headed out to beautiful Silver Lake for fun with our Wilderness Way friend, Georgia Ackerman, who has donated a day for the last four years ... to teaching our kids about kayaking and exploring around with paddles! It was a beautiful day!! We ended our day with Ice Cream Sundaes!!
Tuesday started out with bowling at FSU's Crenshaw's Lanes, followed by the pizza buffet at Stevi B's on Tennessee Street. We then headed over to Group Fit Studio for a Dance Trance workout and Kid Fit Fun!
On Wednesday, we headed to Governor's Square Movies for a showing of "The Tale of Desperaux," stopped by Tom Brown Park for a picnic lunch. Headed to Skate World for a fun time and then over to Jim and BJ Goodpasture's home for a pool party and watermelon. A good time was had by all!
We started something NEW! this year!!! We took a trip to Ichetucknee State Park, and had the most fabulous time of tubing down the Ich!! Would highly recommend this to all families... fabulous for all ages!! Only a few pictures of this day, but will have a waterproof camera for next year!!
Did anyone say FABULOUS, FUN, FANTASTIC FRIDAY?!!!! Extreme Explorers closed out their fabulous week with our 3rd year trek to the Bauserman's Lake House and some very fun watersports and cookout! Jay White, a dad of one of our Extreme Explorers, also joined us with his boat and added a third "ride" on the water!! We also celebrated with JD and Cori their 16th Wedding Anniversary with a cake feeding and all!
VERY SPECIAL THANKS goes to our "Extreme Bus Driver" Trey McNabb... as he takes vacation to be with us every year. We have expanded to 2 buses now... and want to thank John Henderson, Helen Keaton, Wendi Waltz and Kathleen Malloy!!
Every year, we have fabulous teen counselors, who most have been through EE as a kid, come back and help out with the tough jobs of keeping groups together, helping the kids to have a very fun, enjoyable week... as well as those necessary tasks of filling and loading drink coolers and sweeping out the buses! THANK YOU to Sarah Bauserman, Jon Bielby, Jay Helton, Beverly Howard, Lucy Johnson, Tristan Kopcynski, Ben Merryday, Henry Merryday, Tripp Rasmussen, Ashlyn Reese and Drew Snowden.
Fabulous parents who came out and joined us were Valerie Koenitzer, Maria Johnson, Peggy Benton, Kristin Munson, Joe Rice, Liz Snowden, Bonnie Pless, Scott & Wendi Waltz and Kathleen Malloy. Rev. Nathan and Alicia Adams also joined us for a day. A great big THANK YOU to all!!!
Our week of Extreme Explorers was awesome, and we look forward to next year... our 6th Annual Extreme Explorer week in 2010!!!
