What does it mean to be Christ Centered?
At Saint Paul's, like Christians in general, we are Christ centered.
We believe, as followers of Christ, that Jesus was God in the flesh. We believe that in the birth of Jesus, the teachings and healings of Jesus as well as the death and resurrection of Jesus that we know God more fully.
Without Christ, we cannot know God and God's love as clearly as we can by following Christ and listening to God's spirit and seeking God through prayer and ongoing reading and studying the Word of God found in the Old and New Testaments.
Furthermore, we believe that in the death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ, we can participate in Christ's Kingdom here on earth and in the world to come. For this reason, the birth of Jesus, the baptism of Jesus, the Last Supper, the crucifixion and the cross of Jesus and the empty tomb all have become power-filled symbols for us.
Life in Christ involves a personal relationship with our risen, living Lord. It is into this relationship we invite you. God's amazing grace and love, made real in Jesus Christ, is a gift wrapped and waiting for you. As you consider this gift, we will keep you in our prayers and offer our love as a way to demonstrate God's love for you.
Come and visit us at Saint Paul's.
